Hi, everyone! I am Allison Bolsega, the proud owner and photographer here at Allison Bolsega Photography. I am a lover of light, smiles, chipotle, giving back and minions. I am obsessed with the color teal (or turquoise, they are one in the same to me), reclaimed wood furniture and Mumford & Sons. I am a mother to 3 wonderfully amazing little boys, a wife to active duty Navy Corpsman *soon-to-be officer*, and the care taker to 2 dogs - and a handful of fish.
When I was a kid I always dreamt I would end up being a photographer. I would dream of taking pictures of animals in the heart of Africa ( or some other foreign land) and my images would be in National Geographic. Then I read an article about wildlife photographers. I soon realized I would need to camp, in a tent, in the middle of nowhere for days/weeks/months on end. That was quickly the end of that dream. I put the whole photography thing on the back burner for a while. I graduated high school, went to college, got married and had a few kids. In 2009 when my second son was born, I was able to buy my first "big" camera. As soon as I had it in my hands I fell in love... again.
It would take me over the next 3 years to fully learn and understand what I could make my camera do. I started off taking pictures of families and children. In the fall of 2013, after second shooting for a few photographers, I decided to take a huge leap. I got all my ducks in a row and officially made Allison Bolsega Photography an LLC. When 2014 rolled around I started shooting weddings and events. This was a HUGE step for me. Wedding & event photography is something that means the world to me. I didn't want to be just another wedding photographer. I wanted clients that LOVED photography. In addition, I wanted to make sure that I could deliver my clients timeless, classic, beautiful pictures that captured their day perfectly.
Since late 2013 I have been focusing mainly on weddings & engagements, but I do still very much love to shoot families and children. Unlike some other photographers I only book 2-3 weddings per month, and a hand full of portrait sessions. This allows me to give my couples a one-of-a-kind experience. I end up being more than just the photographer, and I love every minute of it. I would love to get to know a little bit more about you and your family, please fill out the contact information so we may talk about what your photography needs are.
